A universe of ideas: Perimeter Public Lecture Series resumes in October

Leading experts from around the world will share cutting-edge research — from astrophysics to neurology — when Perimeter’s long-running Public Lecture Series resumes Oct. 3, 2018.

To get the series started, Avery Broderick (Delaney Family John Archibald Wheeler Chair at Perimeter Institute) will provide an inside look at the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), a global network of interconnected telescopes aimed at creating humanity’s first picture of a black hole. Broderick is an Associate Faculty member at Perimeter Institute and the University of Waterloo, and leads the EHT Initiative at Perimeter.

Check back regularly for updates on upcoming speakers, who will explore topics including photonics, nuclear physics, the interface of art and science, and much more.
